NEW PROJECT: Another Aircraft from Aerosoft

Aerosoft has post on there forum that they have begun work on the Antonov-2. They have posted 2 images of the aircraft; or should I say the 1/2 of the model they have completed so far. This project is scheduled for release this fall and is being worked on by the same team that did the Wilga.

Darren from Aviasim Design has post that there groups next project will be Salt Lake City International Airport (KSLC). He made the announcement on the FSDeveloper website. There is nothing about this on the Aviasim website at this time. This project has not been started yet.

RELEASED: Captain Sim 737

Captain Sim has released the base pack of the 737 Captain Proline Series. The release includes the base aircraft Boeing 737-200 with a realistic virtual cockpit. Beware, this release does not include a realistic flight model. If you do not know what that means, it is simple... You get the CS 737-200 with the FSX default 737 flight model. If you are looking for a complete aircraft with all the bells and whistles, you will want to avoid this aircraft until CS releases a complete product.

A-Flight has posted several new images of there first product Helsinki-Vantaa Airport (EFHK). The also announced that once complete this scenery will be released as a "Mega-Airport" with Aerosoft. Captain Sim has post the following 5 items as an update to the upcoming 737 Captain Series.

1. Extensive preview on the 737 Base pack (VC and systems) is available.
2. 737-100 exterior model free demo is out.
3. 737-200ADV expansion model confirmed.
4. The Base pack will feature the -200 instead of the -100 model.

5. The Base pack release price announced.

The Images posted look just like any other Captain Sim. If you like the way CS products look, you will enjoy these images; if you dont like the way CS flight decks look, you are not going to like these.
The price for the base pack is going to be €39.99 (US $53.00).

Pacific Island Sim was going to wait to announce there next scenery for a couple of weeks other than tell us it was in China. That was the plan until people started guessing, and someone got it right. With that said the next airport scenery release from PIS is Xiamen's Gaoqi International Airport (ZSAM). It is the main base of Xiamen Airlines and TAECO (Aircraft maintenance provider). It is also the 11th passenger airport in China, and the 9th busiest cargo airport in China. This should be a fun airport to own.

Robert from PMDG has announced what one of the secret projects they have been working on is. A new product line: PMDG Classic. The first aircraft they will be releasing under the classic label is the Douglas DC-6B Cloudmaster. This new product line is to help keep aircraft being released on a more regular basis, and to keep the PMDG team busy between projects.

I hope everyone remembers how to fly manually.

This new product from FSDT "simulates several operations on ground, like Marshalling, Catering, Boarding/Deboarding of passengers and Baggages, Stairs, Refueling vehicles, Pushback with realistic behavior, Folllow Me cars, Docking System and more, all featuring many native FSX animations and belivable human characters."
This product is similar to AES, but does NOT control any gateways.

UPDATE: Microsoft Flight

Microsoft Studios, the team behind Microsoft Flight has released a lot of new information about the new FS. It sounds very interesting the direction that they are heading with Flight, but it is also sounding like Microsoft is going to try to get every nickle and dime that is in our pockets. Sure, they may give us the starter set (Hawaii) for free, but that is where the free part ends.
I have a feeling that FSX might be around a little bit longer that we were hoping; or maybe the big push that X-plane needs to become the major FS in the market.
