Carenado has just released the CT210M CENTURION II HD SERIES for FSX. This product is available from the Carenado website for $34.95 (USD). Normally I would only post one image of the product, but I could not make up my mind which image to use. So, this release gets one external image, and one internal image.
Area 51 Simulations has released several new screenshots of the C-17. There are several shots of the outside of the aircraft, and of the flight deck. This product is in the late stages of Beta.
Wattay International Airport (VLVT) is one of the few international airports in Laos.. It is located 3 km (2 mi) outside its capital Vientiane. This scenery is only available for FS2004.
Pacific Island Sim has released FuaŹ»amotu International Airport (NFTF) for FSX. FuaŹ»amotu International Airport (NFTF) is an international airport on the main Tongan island of Tongatapu, Kingdom of Tonga. It is located on the south side of the main island, 35 km from the capital, Nuku'alofa. It was originally built with coral surface runways during World War 2 (WWII) as heavy bomber field.
The whole battle between LatinVFR and Internsim is known through out the flight sim community. At first, I was on the side of LatinVFR. I have seen the products that they can produce, and have yet to see anything of real quality out of Intersim. Junior at Intersim has posted a video that shows some additional information that makes it hard to dispute.
At First, I thought this was something that Junior just needed to let go of, and except the fact that Intersim didn't provide a product that usable to LatinVFR.
After reading the latest from FlyTampa, I have no choice but begin to rethink what I was thinking about Intersim, and LatinVFR. George from FlyTampa has posted some interesting information about LatinVFRs recent release Key West International Airport. Here is a qoute from the FlyTampa forum.
"This is an unfortunate post I'd rather not have to deal with publicly. This afternoon a customer emailed me some texture samples from LatinVFRs latest Key west scenery which seemed to be using Flytampa texture assets."
The posting does continue on with examples, and another time that this had happened with LatinVFR. Read more and decide for yourself. To buy or not to buy LatinVFR is the question?
From the Forum of FTX, and the post by John Venema (CEO)
"We decided to not do larger international airports anymore, a while back. They take far too long to make, cost us far too much, and are just not fun to make for the developers anymore. We also won't dumb them down and compromise on our design and authentic detail, that's just not what we do. So no KSEA or KPDX, and I doubt other developers will tackle them either given the baseline performance of those two cities. I should have updated the roadmap page sooner, sorry about that. Perhaps poll FlyTampa to port their FS9 KSEA using a low-geometry approach? We still plan to revamp downtown Seattle with new building models, and that is a necessary precursor to any large airports going into the area. "
This is very sad news indeed. I am happy for them that they feel FTX can survive with just building cities, and general aviation airfields. At least for some of us long haulers we got YBBN and YMML from them. It is really to bad we never got YSSY from them. Good luck FTX. And yes, this does mean that they are not going to be making Portland International Airport
FSDreamteam has given us more images to look at from the soon to be released KLAX. In this update we finally get to see how they handled all the constructions at the airport's Tom Bradley International Terminal. Just like all FSDT sceneries, this is looking like it will be worth the wait.
LatinVFR has released there latest scenery, Key West International Airport (KEYW). This scenery is the one that has created a lot of hostility between Intersim and LatinVFR. With this release, LatinVFR has again stepped up there quality, and dedication to providing the sceneries that most flight simmers want from the Caribbean, South & Central America Regions.
FlyTampa's George has posted a couple more images of his work in progress at LGAV. It doesn't look like there is much left to do, and hopefully we will have another high quality scenery in our collects soon. Keep up the great work George and Martin!
Robert Randazzo of PMDG, posted another update on the status of the highly anticipated Boeing 737NGX. In summary, the aircraft is essentially complete, but there are some fine tuning to various systems of the aircraft that they want completed before going to wide beta; which could be as soon as next monday. Robert did include one VERY NICE image of the VC.
FlightBeam Studios has posted one shot of the soon to be released update for KSFOx which includes the new Terminal 2. If you are not aware of the FlightBeam product, please take a look at it. I did a product review of it, and gave it very high marks.
There wasnt anything said about the preview other than Coming Soon.
Directly from the front page of the Imaginesim Website!!!
The new version of KDEN Denver International is
set for release this coming weekend. The FS2004 product will be available first for US$29.99, followed by the FSX version in July. Full release information will appear here and at the popular flightsim websites.
Coming soon from FSDT is Zurich 2.0. This is not going to be a complete rebuild on the scenery, but an update to bring the scenery up to date with the real world airport, and with the new technics that FSDT uses to make there most recent sceneries. The update is going to be a 3 step process, with the first step being improving the textures. Compare the screen shots below to see the updated details that V2 will add. Check out the FSDT forums to learn more about this update to Zurich.
Aerosoft has released there latest addition to the Mega Airport family. Zurich X is available for FS9 and FSX, and only available for downloading at this time.
Imaginesim has given us one screen shot of there next release; KDEN, Denver International Airport. They have said that KDEN will be released this month, and they will then start working on updating KMSY New Orleans.
Blueprint sim has released there latest airport; KDTW, Detroit Metropolitan Airport. This scenery is available for both FS9 and FSX. Just like all there other airports, will NOT be compatible with AES.
FSDreamteam has posted several new images of what is most likely to be the most anticipated scenery release in the life of FSX (and FS9 if they can release it with compromising quality). The scenery looks very close to completion, and even includes the new construction currently taking place at the Tom Bradley International Terminal. Judging by the images they have posted, FSDreamteam has really taken realizism in flight sim to a new level. I am not so sure that anyone will be able to match the quality products that they are making.
Check out the latest video the team over at PMDG. The video is showing off some of the options that are going to be available from the FMC without having to reload the aircraft every-time.
Robert Randazzo also has a new post out talking about what the delays are in getting the 737NGX into Wide Beta, and some of the little details that will set the 737NGX apart from the others.
QualityWings has posted 2 new shots of the up and coming release of the BAe 146. I looks like with these couple of shots that they have taken there already high graphics standards even higher. The QW 757 is one of my favorite aircraft in my hanger next to the PMDG 747. Judging by these shots, I may have a new top 5 favorite aircraft in my hanger. Take a look and enjoy!!
