Change in the Flight Plan

Over the past couple of months, it has become harder and harder for me to find the time to keep FlightSimBuzz updated on a regular basis. I started a new job a couple of months ago, and it is requiring a lot more of my time that I expected. With that said, I am letting all my followers know that you should not expect anymore updates for a while.
I have on a couple of occasions asked if anyone was interested in helping with maintaining the site, but I had limited responses from people that in reality didn't have the time either.

I am going to leave this page up and running, and will work on keeping all the links updated and working. Other than that, I am going to try to start working on doing a couple of product reviews a month.

If anyone has the time, the passion of Flight Sim, and of sharing information, please contact me, and we can work on getting something going to try to continue the FlightSimBuzz that we all love.

RELEASED: SimWings Mega Airport London Heathrow Xtended

The guys over at Aerosoft and Simwings have announced the release of Mega Airport London Heathrow Xtended for FSX and P3D.
This scenery covers around 42 square kilometers and fully detailed buildings at the airport, including the new T2 and T2B terminals.

UPDATE RELEASED: PMDG 777

The Captain over at PMDG has announced that SP1b for PMDG 777-200LR/F and 300ER has been released. This update includes a lot of enhancements that increase the stability, and cleaned up some more bugs.

RELEASED: Lake Tahoe Airport

FTX has released another amazing piece of scenery, this time going to Lake Tahoe Airport (KTVL). This is  Orbx’s third airport for FTX Northern California. This package not only includes an impeccably detailed rendition of KTVL, but over 500 square km of beautifully detailed surrounding area to explore. This package is availavle for FSX, P3Dv1, and P3Dv2.

The quality and detail that they are doing is amazing. I can not wait to see the final product.

RELEASED: Aerosoft Bergen X

Aerosoft has announced the release of Bergen X. This is a highly detailed recreation of the Flesland Airport. This add-on creates an absolute realistic and accurate description of the aerodrome and its atmosphere.

In a surprise release from LatinVFR, Ricardo has announced the release of the Santa Cruz SLVR Package for FSX, P3Dv1, P3Dv2 and FS2004.

The title says it all... IT HAS BEEN RELEASED.
Earlier today Captain Robert from PMDG announced the release of the highly anticipated 777 add on for the PMDG 777-200 Base pack. The PMDG 777-300ER and the SP1 were both released.

UPDATE: PMDG 777-200LR/F SP1 & 300ER

Captain Robert Randazzo from PMDG has returned to the forums again with another update for the PMDG 777 Expansion and the Service Pack. I would say it is getting close, but we all know how that works with PMDG. No matter how long it takes them to release the expansion and the service pack, it will be worth the wait.

At this time RSR thinks that we should have both sometime next week.

DELIVERED: 1500th 747 Aircraft

I know that this is not flight sim related, but since this is my favorite aircraft, I have to share it you.
Boeing has delivered the 1,500th 747 to come off the Everett, Wash. production line to Frankfurt, Germany-based Lufthansa. The airplane is a 747-8 Intercontinental, the newest 747 which entered service with Lufthansa in 2012.

UPDATE RELEASED: Captain Sim 777 SP 1.4

Captain Sim has released another update to the 777 Captain Series. Update 1.4 includes several fixes and improvements to the package including having fixed the climb rate issue, VNAV takeoff and decent issues, several autopilot fixes, and a LOT more.

Captain Robert over at PMDG has posted a huge product update on the 777-300ER product, the SP1 release, and some other developments that are currently underway at the PMDG shop.

WAIT!!! There is more!!!!

Finally, Tabs has posted a list of completed 777-300ER Livery list that has already been uploaded to the PMDG Operations Center. This list is a long list, and only contains paints for airlines that actually have the 777-300ER. 

Tabs stated that if you are interested in a fictional livery, we will have to wait for someone the FS community to paint it.

UPDATE RELEASED: FlightBeam Studios KIAD 1.2

Mir over at FlightBeam Studios has released Washington Dulles International version 1.2. This update includes some of the following:

- Significant optimizations which should give noticeable boost in framerate, especially on approach
- Several changes made to some ground textures that were flickering when viewing the airport at distance (mainly apron lighting, ground shadows)
- Several optimizations made to jetways to use less resources

- and more.
