W16 Released from FTX / Orbx

FTX / Orbx has announced the release of there latest North American Airfield. Monroe Firstair (w16) is available for FSX only, and has all the normal feature that FTX is known for.

Wilco had released a complete remake of the popular Regional Jet Vol.1 – CRJ. The CRJ NextGen Deluxe is a complete new build if the CRJ for FSX.

Coming Soon from Real Air Sim

Per the Real Air Website, The group is currently working on the Lancair Legacy for FSX, and once completed, they will be working on the Cessna 172 Skyhawk for FSX. They have recently posted the first screen shots of the Lancair.




Drzewiecki Design Miami City 2012 X Released

Drzewiecki Design has released Miami City 2012 for FSX.  
This release includes some of the following: 

  • Highest level of accuracy in geographic positioning, modelling and texturing
  • Very detailed autogen and photorealistic ground textures for the whole area
  • 10 helipads, one sea plane base (X44) and one closed airport (X46) 
  • All buildings textured with photoreal textures 
  • Night version 
  • Famous landmarks

This released includes a lite version of several area airports including Miami International Airport. 




QualityWings Releases The Ultimate 146 Collection

Congratulations to QualityWings on the release of there second aircraft series with The Ultimate 146 Collection for FS9. This collection includes the British Aerospace Avro RJ70, RJ85 and RJ100. This collection is being released in 3 stages. This is the stage 1 release.

Stage 2: Release Avro RJ70, RJ85 and RJ100 for FSX (free update)

FTX Releases another

FTX has released Creswell Airport (77S), and as a bonus, has included Walker Field (OR57). Both of these scenery include everything you would expect from an FTX scenery with the exception of the 2 CM ground image like the last scenery release.




Coming Soon from Aerosoft

Over on the Aerosoft Forums, Mathijs has posted a soon to be released collection of images of the next scenery from Aerosoft.  Toulouse X (LFBO) for FSX will be released as early as next week.

Next Scenery from LatinVFR and More

Ricardo from LatinVFR has post an update to what they are working on at the moment, and what there next release will be. Montevideo Uruguay Carrasco International Airport (SUMU) will be the next scenery they release. Ricardo also mentions that they are working on updates for Caracas (SVMI), a major update to Tegucigalpa (MHTG), and Miami (KMIA) will release a fairly large update once MHTG is completed.




Next Scenery from Taxi2Gate

Cesar has posted on the Taxi2Gate forum that the next scenery will be Toncontín International Airport (MHTG). Toncontin is located in Tegucigalpa, Honduras; and is considered one of the most challenging / dangerous airports in the world.

News from BluePrint Sim

The team over at BluePrint Simulations has posted that they have 2 sceneries that they are working on. Rio de Janeiro’s Galeão–Antonio Carlos Jobim International Airport (SBGL) which will include Rio de Janeiro’s domestic Santos Dumont airport (SBRJ). Following that SBGL will be São Paulo/Guarulhos–Governador André Franco Montoro International Airport (SBGR), which will include Sao Paulo’s domestic Congonhas airport (SBSP). If that was not enough, they have also announced that version 2 of Caracas – Simon Bolivar International Airport (SVMI) has been completed, and should be released in the next couple of weeks.

New Designer / New Scenery Images

Evolution Sim has been posting WIP images of there first scenery. They are currently working on Dubai X. Based on the few images that they have posted so far, this could be a very good scenery.




New Images of Los Angeles

Sasa from LimeSim had posted a couple new images of US Cities - Los Angeles on the Aerosoft forum. If you are interested in the US Cities add-ons. Please remember that they do not have night time graphics. These are day time textures only.




Aerosoft Airbus Images

Mathijs from Aerosoft posted several new images of the Airbus X Virtual Cockpit yesterday. He also posted that they are neatly done with the VC, and that they have been able to improve the FPS.




RELEASED: FTX Stewart

FTX has announced the release of Stewart Airport (CZST). This release includes all the normal Orbx "flow" technology, plus for the first time in FSX, 2cm per pixel ground imagery.




GSX Update 1.5 Released

FSDreamteam has released an update to GSX. With this update, a Scenery Graphical Editor has been added that will allow users to customize all parking spots at every airport for both default and 3rd party airports.

A couple of days ago, UK2000 released there latest UK Airport. Cardiff Airport (EGFF) is the latest addition to the FSX and FS9 UK library from Gary.

The Airport Guys have announce the release of Myrtle Beach International Airport (KMYR) for FSX.





The Airport Guys have also released Triangle North 2011 for FSX ,and is there first scenery release. This is a complete scenery package for Triangle North Executive Airport (KLHZ).
