I have read that FSDT is going to do a remake of JFK so I would probably wait for that. The current FSDT version is very good with the exception of the ground textures particularly on the taxiways and runways
I suggest getting the FSDreamteam version of KJFK. You get both the FS9 and the FSX version, and when they finish the upgrade, you will be able to download it for free (just like they have done with Zurich, and Chicago). Also remember that FSDT sceneries are compatible with AES and Blueprint is not.
