Death to all flight sims except P3D?
With a recent announcement from the FSDT website, it seems that the big boys of scenery design are putting all their eggs in one basket, and are starting the revolution to kill FSX and any other FS with the exception of P3Dv4. I understand from a design perspective that this makes things easier on them, but this really places a big hurt on the FS community (which is the community that supports them - just in case they are forgetting about who is buying there products).
I personally am placing a hold on all FS purchases at this time in order for the bugs to be worked out of v4. I believe that 64 bit is the future of FS, but I dont think that it has been around long enough to think it is the saving grace of FS.
I also believe that with Dovetail's World, Xplane, P3D it forces the developers to keep stepping up their game to keep their products wanted and relevant to what the market demands.
Plus, does this mean that P3D & LM are going to change the EULA and officially become a product that is available to anyone, and not just student pilots and up?
OK, I said I wasn't going to do the whole BS thing with this blog, but I had to get this off my chest.
Anyway, here is the link to the FSDT post.

TESTING, TESTING....We read you loud and Clear
2 weeks ago we did a quick test to see how many viewers were still following us by posting FS News for a week. To my surprise, we had over 2000 viewers visit our page during that time.
With that said, We are ready to begin tracking FS News once again. We will be using the same format as we always did. A simple announcement of what is happening with no additional BS, and a link to the source.
Flight attendants please be seated, we are clear for take off!

Preparing for Takeoff
To all the loyal followers,
I am preparing Flight Sim Buzz for takeoff. I am currently looking for a couple of new products to start doing reviews on, and getting the blog ready to start keeping track of FS news on a regular basis.
Expect more from me in the next week or 2.
Until then, Stay safe, and happy flying!

Change in the Flight Plan
Over the past couple of months, it has become harder and harder for me to find the time to keep FlightSimBuzz updated on a regular basis. I started a new job a couple of months ago, and it is requiring a lot more of my time that I expected. With that said, I am letting all my followers know that you should not expect anymore updates for a while.
I have on a couple of occasions asked if anyone was interested in helping with maintaining the site, but I had limited responses from people that in reality didn't have the time either.
I am going to leave this page up and running, and will work on keeping all the links updated and working. Other than that, I am going to try to start working on doing a couple of product reviews a month.
If anyone has the time, the passion of Flight Sim, and of sharing information, please contact me, and we can work on getting something going to try to continue the FlightSimBuzz that we all love.
Until our return, I hope you enjoy our random reviews.
Keep the spirit of Aviation and Flight Sim alive by sharing your passions, and dreams with the world.
